Before you write

• Your documents live only on this phone. There is no account and no cloud copy, and phone-to-phone transfer does not include them. Use Save as… to keep a signed PDF somewhere else before you reset or replace your phone.
• "Can't open this file"? Password-protected PDFs can't be opened yet; remove the password first. Files over 200 MB are refused.
• "This PDF is already signed"? The PDF carries a certificate signature from someone else. Saving your changes makes a copy in which that signature is no longer valid; the original is untouched. Ask the sender how they want it signed.
• "Locked against changes"? Whoever made the PDF set it so it can't be changed. Ask the sender for a version that allows filling or signing.
• A form won't fill? XFA forms can't be filled. You can still tap the page to add text and your signature.
• Not for every document. PDF Sign & Fill is for sign-and-return paperwork. It is not for wills, court filings, or deeds that must be notarized or witnessed; check what the receiver accepts.

PDF Sign & Fill is free, with no ads and no subscription. An optional one-time purchase, Pro, adds more saved templates and repeated in-person signer sessions. Signing, filling, saving and sharing are never locked.
